| LET'S GET IT GOING': John Hollins |
WEYMOUTH manager John Hollins hopes to still be in charge when the Terras move into their new home in four years' time.
The club announced plans for their future stadium at a Press conference yesterday afternoon.
The venture, which will include a new clubhouse for Weymouth Rugby Club, will see the Terras move to a new facility off Monmouth Avenue.
And Hollins is excited about what the future holds for the football club.
He said: "I've looked at the plans and it's a very exciting proposition. The new stadium looks really good.
"There will be much better facilities for us to use all-round and it gives us more opportunity to progress, not that we're not progressing already, but it will help us along that bit more.
"If you look at other clubs and how they've moved on since they built new stadia, one of my old clubs Swansea City are a great example.
"They are absolutely flying. With the new stadium and the whole set up they're looking really good. They won promotion to the Champion-ship last season and they beat Premier League side Hull City in the Carling Cup on Tuesday night. We at Weymouth want our new stadium to have a similar effect.

| BOLD VISION: The Terras' new community stadium which could be built by 2012 |
"The whole thing will be attractive to anyone who comes to the club and they will want to enjoy the brand new stadium. There's a lot of good thinking gone into it, so all I can say is let's get it going'.
"We've got something to look forward to and everything is falling into place."
It is hoped that the new stadium will be completed by spring 2012, ahead of the London Olympics, for which Weymouth and Portland will host the Games' sailing events.
Hollins, who has been in the Weymouth hotseat for seven months, is keen to see chairman Malcolm Curtis' vision come to life.
He added: "Four years is a long time in football but if we can keep working hard then who knows? I've got a two-year contract and I'll look to improve that to see the new stadium open with us perhaps in a new division."
The Terras take on second-placed Cambridge United this Saturday at their current home, the Wessex Stadium, with Pierre Joseph-Dubois (thigh), Santos Gaia (shoulder) and Michael Malcolm (ankle) all expected to recover from slight knocks.
Hollins, whose side lost 4-1 at Forest Green Rovers on Monday, said: "Joseph-Dubois has a tweak in his thigh but should be okay, as should Santos Gaia and Michael Malcolm.
"They're just knocks that they should be able to shake off.
"Monday was only three points. We want to start playing well and get it out of our system. We've got three massive games coming up against Cambridge United, Salis-bury City and Histon, and they don't come much tougher than that."
